Surjeet’s family thrilled about his release

Ferozpur, June 27 (ANI): While the clarification that the Pakistan government is not releasing Sarabjit Singh but another Indian prisoner Surjeet, dampened the spirits of his family, it sparked celebrations at Surjeet’s home in Ferozpur. Surjeet’s son stated that he was thrilled to hear the news of his father’s release, as he was merely three years old, when his father was imprisoned. Meanwhile, Surjit’s wife said that they had begun trying for his release after they received a letter from him and added that his family members were eagerly waiting to meet him. Earlier on Tuesday, reports broke out in the media that Sarabjit Singh, was to be freed after 21 years, since he had completed his term.
