Sangma gains support from regional parties

Chennai/New Delhi, June 21 (ANI): While both the candidates Union Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee and Former Speaker PA Sangma struggle to win the presidential race, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J. Jayalalithaa, today reiterated her support to Sangma. Shiromani Akali Dal leader Naresh Gujral, too said that their party would also support Sangma if BJP backs him. However, Gujral asserted that it was quite clear with the statistics that Pranab Mukherjee would be heading the race for the coveted post. Meanwhile, Congress General Secretary, Janardhan Dwivedi said that there is no comparision between Mukherjee and Sangma. Meanwhile Dwivedi hailed Janata Dal United’s decision of supporting Pranab Mukherjee
