Saif Ali Khan believes that his forthcoming ‘Agent Vinod’ will take him to the Rs 100- crore club. The actor who is promoting the film in London said, “The film will be released both in multiplexes and single screens and it has the potential to cross Rs 100 crore in revenue and I look forward to it”. Produced at a cost of Rs 60 crore, the film was completed in 19 months. It will be released in 3,500 screens globally including 2,500 in India on March 23, 2012. Saif, 41, who also plays the lead role in the film, said it has been produced keeping Indian sensibilities in mind. It’s a fast-paced film and shot in 12 countries, including Riga, Latvia, Morocco, Russia, Uzbekistan, the UK and India.Saif, known for his roles in the cult movie `Dil Chahta Hai`, `Parineeta` and `Omkara`, said he had gone to Vietnam for a couple of weeks to undergo training in action for the film. He said he did all the stunts himself.
"In India we do the stunts and we have good technicians in India. What we need is a good writer." At the same time, the hero doesn’t miss praising his beau and also movie’s heroine Kareena Kapoor. Saif said she is a "phenomenal actor. She is just made for the film." The film is written and directed by Sriram Raghavan. Pritam Chakraborty has provided music for the film.Saif seems to have taken his advertising mantra too seriously and ended up making it really large with ‘Agent Vinod’. The film, according to industry insiders, is not just larger than life, but also longer than recent Hindi releases. Its duration is two hours & 30 minutes. Though some exhibitors sought to cut its length, but Saif and director Sriram Raghavan made it clear that there won’t be any negotiation on the running length. Director Sriram argues that this kind of film requires extensive storytelling. Since the script is tight, I had to give in some breathers, he adds.
