Bangla babe Rani Mukherjee turned 35 on March 21, 2013. She began her acting career at an early age of 18, with her father’s film ‘Biyar Phool’ (1996) and later made her Hindi film debut with ‘Raja Ki Aayegi Baraat’ in 1997. Though her film didn’t fare too well at the box office, powerful performance in the role of a rape victim won her critical acclaim. The light eyed beauty never looked back and her 1998 films ‘Ghulam’ and ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’ took her career graph to a high. She consolidated her stardom with blockbuster films such as ‘Saathiya’ (2002), ‘Veer Zaara’ (2004), and ‘Black’ (2005). Thus, she became the B-queen. After her 2009 ‘Dil Bole Hadippa!’ that failed , Rani turned choosy about her films.Buzz is that the charming girl will soon be marrying with the Yash Raj Chopra banner’s icon Aditya Chopra. In fact, she has been reportedly traveling to Europe with Aditya. Her fans are keenly awaiting to see their idol get married and settled in life like many of her contemporaries.

Most significantly, Rani is teaming up with Karan Johar after almost six years and plays the role of a journalist in his next release 'Bombay Talkies'. The last time she played a journalist was in 'No One Killed Jessica' where she got many accolades for her performance. Rani and Randeep Hooda play a married couple in the film. 'Bombay Talkies' marks 100 years of Indian cinema and will release on May 3 2013. 'Bombay Talkies' is a bouquet of four stories directed by four different directors - Anurag Kashyap, Karan Johar, Zoya Akhtar and Dibakar Banerjee.
