Beginning from Ranbir Kapoor of the Kapoor clan and followed by Mimoh, son of yesteryear Disco Dancer Mithon Chakrawarty and Sikander Kher, son of Anupam Kher, no one has been able to create any magic in Bollywood like their elders. Now, it's the turn of producer Kumar Mangat's daughter Amita Pathak debuting in her father's film 'Haal-e-Dil' with two more new comers. Bollywood isn't new to Amita as she has already worked as assistant to director John Mathew and Vishal Bhardwaj. But, Kumar Mangat who ran from his village some 30 years back to become a hero in Bollywood had to be satisfied with turning a producer instead after working with Veeru Devgan for several years. He doesn't want to take any chance with his daughter's debut movie, so he has recorded 30 songs for this movie and then selected only seven for it. Not only that, Kumar doesn't trust on one music director, so he deputed four music directors - Anand Raaj Anand, Pritam, Vishal Bhardwaj and Raghav Sachar - for handling the music part. Among the star cast too, Kumar signed two new actors - Adhyayan Suman and Nukul Mehta opposite Amita. The music of the movie is released by T-Series and has 6 original and 2 remix tracks.
The track of the album is 'Jeeta Hoon'. This is a romantic track sung by Sonu Nigam and Pamela Jain. As usual Sonu comes out a winner. Sameer's lyrics are excellently used by Anand Raaj Anand. Although it's a slow-paced track yet Anand Raaj Anand tries to add fast paced instruments . That's why there is a lack of continuation several times. But, overall another good track from the album of 'Haal-E-Dil'.
The third track of the album is 'Agg Lage Aaj Kal De Fashion Nu'. This is a Punjabi remix track sung by Labh Janjua and Hard Kaur. Shabbir Ahmed's lyrics are well sung by Labh Janjua. Pritam once again succeeds in standing in the first row. Another good track for DJs' , in particular.
The next track 'Rang' is a solo track sung by Sonu Nigam. Aditya Dhar's lyrics are worth listening. Good job by Sonu Nigam. Raghav too plays his role very well. Good colorful track.
Now comes a special track 'Oye Hoye' where the audience can watch Ajay and Kajol dancing together during their special appearance. The track is sung by Udit Narayan and Pamela Jain. Once again Sameer has proved that he also an 'A' grade lyrics writer. Anand Raaj Anand comes out a winner, here too. Another good track of 'Haal-E-Dil'
The track 'Rani' is also a solo track sung by Sonu Nigam. A good and medium paced track! Sameer's lyrics are indeed good. Now, after working with Sameer, Anand for so many years Anand knows what type of treatment is required for a track, which is penned by Sameer. Another listenable track!
The track 'Khwahish' is sung by Shaan. Sunidhi Chauhan and Raghav Sachar. Lyrics are panned by Aditya Dhar. Here, Raghav fails to make this track for the chartbusters. This is perhaps the only below average track from 'Haal-E-Dil'. There is hardly anything worthwhile to mention.
The other tracks are the remix versions of earlier solo track 'Rang' which was sung by Sonu Nigam and the title track 'Haal-E-Dil'.
On the whole, this is a good album for both the audience and profitable for the producer. The audience will welcome it as a good album has come after a long wait.
