David Dhawan, the filmmaker with humorous surprises, revives his on-screen magical chemistry with aging Govinda and sturdy Salman Khan in one more fun ride 'Partner'. It will be his first directorial offering after the debacle of 'Shaadi No 1' as his earlier hits ('Ek Aur Ek Gyarah', 'Mujhse Shaadi Karogi' and 'Maine Pyar Kyon Kiya') were with his favorites - Salman Khan and Govinda - in last few years. In 'Partner', gorgeous Katrina Kaif and Lara Dutta play their love interest while film promises to be fun-loving romantic ride. Sajid-Wajid, a favorite with Sonu Nigam's pop albums, has composed hilariously filled funky soundtracks that metaphor comical feel of the film. The musical duo holds the distinction of composing music for David Dhawan's 'Mujhse Shaadi Karogi' with great success. Noted scriptwriter and lyricist Sanjay Chel has penned the lyrics and entertains with his chirpy one-liners. 'Partner' brings the musical entertainment in seven original soundtracks that can be heard on T-Series music cassettes and CD's.

DO YOU WANNA PARTNER (2 VERSIONS) : David Dhawan's contemporary comical styled music strikes back with loads of modern hip-hop rendition and frolicking rhythmical notes to create a joy-filled "masti" in title soundtrack "Do you wanna partner ?" Sajid-Wajid's musical presentation is a fine mixture of Lambda, Latino and jazz music displayed in contemporary Bollywood musical format. Sanjay Chel's aggressively punched lyrics make it a David Dhawan's special number with loads of playful phrases juggling in the interludes of the song. Udit Narayan and Shaan are the voices chosen for Salman and Govinda and these contemporaries deliver with their full throttle flow. The song is presumed to be a beach song where two dudes woo beautiful girls with their tomfoolery acts. Wajid and Suzi Q form effective background vocals while Clinton's racy vocals render trendy hip-hop lyrics. There's nothing harmonic about the number but it brings back Sajid Wajid's brilliance shown earlier in typical Goan beach tracks like "Jeene Ke Hai Chaar Din" ('Mujhse Shaadi Karogi'). It has saxophone notes signifying the jazz appeal followed by mandolin work emanating Latino styled romantic touch with flair for Lambda party dance. Its colorful and hilarious choreography will be its high point and like all David Dhawan's title tracks it will be popular among masses. "Do you wanna partner (remix) " collages the collective numerous beat patterns and mix them with fast paced disco beat fillers to give a foot thumping appeal on the floors. Like an original soundtrack, its high voltage remix presentation lives up to the occasion as loud percussions coupled with bass synthesizers' flickering paced tunes collide effectively. Both the versions are entertaining and are expected to enthrall party animals in discos in coming days.

DUPATTA TERA NAU RANG DA : Sajid Wajid's fixation with "Dupatta" fetched golden returns in "Laal Dupatta" ('Mujhse Shaadi Karogi') and now "Dupatta Tera Nau Rang Da" sizzles with great success. It's sure shot chartbusting stuff as the racy flow of loud pitched techno generated music makes dazzling chemistry with enthused vocals. The track has catchy beats where enthralled voices of Sonu Nigam and Kunal Ganjawala make merry with Sanjay Chel's well crafted lyrical flow. Shreya Ghoshal's shrill and mushy vocals add tinge of femininity in the interludes while Suzi Q's sensual vocals shine in the background. Punjabi "dhol" beat structure, keyboard fillers mixed with impressive "sitar" rendition are camouflaged to perfection and it shows the finesse of musical duo. This peppy and "masti" filled number is likely to be a stress buster and big catalyst in creating a desired tempo and hype for the film and the album. We wish the number was remixed in typical "club" mix mode to deliver an additional amusement for party freaks.

YOU'RE MY LOVE (2 VERSIONS) : "You're My Love" promises to be first major and impressive hip-hop track from Sajid Wajid and it comes out with medium paced westernized orchestration and notable vocals. It has a typical trendy Afro -American hip-hop styled presentation mixed with reggae styled music where sluggishly paced percussions, rigorous drum beats, stylized English racy hip-hop and soft pitched flute rendition make fine concoction with lead vocals. The titillating signature tune reminds of "Dus Bahane" ('Dus') with slower tempo tuned with medium pitched musical arrangements. "You're my love" is above average situational number where peppy Shaan and silken voiced Shweta Pandit deliver the amusing offerings. Earl D'Souza's hip-hop works make the desired noises to create a tempo for urbane friendly track. Its flashy choreographic antics will be its major highlight and like earlier tracks, it will be positive factor for the album.

"You're My Love (remix)" is another brilliant piece of DJ work where high-pitched disco beat fillers and echoing vocals are mixed with racy hip-hop elements to create an animated fever on the dance floors.

MARIA MARIA : "Maria Maria" brings Goan styled musical entertainment with strong inclination from 70's contemporary music rendered in fast paced orchestration. It's a carnival soundtrack where the loud Goan folk music about group merry-making carnival festival is displayed with frivolously paced vocals of Sonu Nigam and Sunidhi Chauhan. It has some shades from "Aaja Sohniye" ('Mujhse Shaadi Karogi') with 70's styled musical work making strong impact in the background. In Bollywood, soundtracks like "Osaka Mariya" ('One Two ka Four') and "Zinda Hai" ('Josh') have been conceived with similar musical textures but have proved average grosser. Like "You're My Love", it's an average situational with no great surprises but promising an entertaining visual spectacle in the film.

SONI DE NAKHRE : Labh Januja, UK styled "bhangra" singer who made news in the tinsel town with his earthy and folksy paced voice strikes another striking blow in pub-friendly disco number "Soni De Nakhre". Unlike his last previous hit tracks, this comes as an average musical offering where slow-paced contemporary UK "bhangra" style beats and rhythms make funky noises. The number is targeted for overseas markets and like its traditional Punjabi flavors, it will have its big takers. Sneha Pant's soft and faint vocals complement him briefly while Wajid's energized vocals lift spirits in the background.

'Partner' comes out as a light hearted musical entertainment from the filmmaker who has mastered the art of comedy films for years. Like all his previous film albums, it entertains its listeners with its musical work. The title track "Do you wanna partner", "Duppata Tera Nau Rang Ka" and "You're My Love" will be hitting charts in coming weeks. Sajid-Wajid comes out with another winner with David Dhawan after their golden success in 'Mujhse Shaadi Karogi'.
