Yash Raj Films' presentation of the year 'Jhoom Barabar Jhoom' makes its sparkling presence as one of this year biggest commercial entertainers. This film will be director Shaad Ali's third major offering after the super success of 'Saathiya' and 'Bunty Aur Babli'. It will be the first film of year where the father-son pair of Amitabh and Abhishek Bachchan will mark their presence together. Besides Bachchans, the film boasts impressive lineup of stars like Bobby Deol, Lara Dutta and Preity Zinta in the lead roles. After the musical success of 'Bunty Aur Babli', the hot "n" happening the music team - Shankar Ehsaan Loy - composes the musical soundtracks. Gulzar has penned the lyrics that portray the ethnic Punjabi flavors in all its soundtracks. 'Jhoom Barabar Jhoom' entertains with seven original soundtracks that can be heard on Yash Raj music cassettes, CD's, mp3's and DVD audio formats.

Jhoom Barabar Jhoom: Shankar Ehsaan Loy's prowess in delivering fast-paced "happy-go-lucky" party song makes its multicolored presence through finely punched Punjabi folk styled rollicking beats and thumps in the title track "Jhoom Barabar Jhoom". After "Aaj ki Raat" ('Don'), "Rock "n" Roll Soniye" ('Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna'), it's another rip-roaring musical presentation from this brilliant music trio that will guarantee sure shot success for the album and will be hitting charts in a big way. This commercially affable number has the voices of ever talented KK, Mahalaxmi Iyer, Sukhwinder Singh and Shankar Mahadevan, and is expected to be choreographed on all five leading stars of the film. This fast-paced song will be a listening feast for "Bhangra" lovers as it outrages the ethnic Punjabi folk styled lyrics with bombastically profound musical arrangements. KK and Sukhwinder Singh sing in vociferous mode while Mahalaxmi Iyer's silken vocals come in tandem to lift the tempo of this pompous soundtrack. Shankar Mahadevan's booming voice catalyzes the euphoric impact of festive feel and gives it a blood racing impact. Gulzar's whimsical lyrical work may sound indifferent but matches well to deliver an entertaining feel to this title track. Its hi-profile slick choreography and cinematography will help it in making this track a super hit.

Jhoom: Shankar Mahadevan gets into the groove as a leading vocalist in the second version of the title track where hip-shaking musical arrangements make mood merrier and rock floors in the soundtrack "Jhoom". This version of the title track comes with sentimental and somber lyrical flow with synchronized flow of signature tunes and beats. The conventional "Qawwali" of yesteryear's "Jhoom Barabar Jhoom" is highlighted to the maximum as this famous one-liner gets Amitabh Bachchan into one of his most strikingly different get-ups. Gulzar's lyrics sound similar to "Jhoom Barabar Jhoom" but are delivered in a slower tempo with effective fusion music. Once again the song's prospects lie heavily on its multi-faceted star cast and visually spectacled screen presentation. Shankar Mahadevan delivers his finest solo vocal performance of this year as he shows his flair of classical music in the "antaras" and "mukhdas". It's another hit in a row and if it catches fast on ears on pop genre then this may be next big anthem after "Dhoom Machale" ('Dhoom').

JBJ: Now this may sound crazy but this can be some sort of record as Shankar Ehsaan Loy comes out with third version of title track in the fast paced soundtrack "JBJ". The youthful flavors are incorporated as there is strong impulse of hip-shaking "club" disco feel with loads of hip-hop rendition in the background. Zubin, the energetic singing prodigy gets into this enthused act as he is joined boisterously by Shankar Mahadevan and Sunidhi Chauhan. It comes with a different set of lyrics that may impress teenyboppers and comes with a westernized styled "fusion" music zing. In short, it can be counted as "remix" or "reprise" version of the title track that should materialize in fastidious situations. Unlike two previous title tracks, this version works better for party animals for its "club" remix feel and should find many takers among Gen X listeners.

Ticket to Hollywood: Neeraj Shridhar (lead vocalist of "Bombay Vikings") is fast catching in Bollywood music fraternity and after impressive "Baat Paaki" ('Just Married'); he gets into groove to pulsate senses in another remarkable soundtrack "Ticket to Hollywood". This fun frolicking number brings shades of his Indi-Pop style of singing that suite the hilarious situation with equally impressive lyrical work. Alisha Chinai, the pop diva who delivered "Kajra Re" with musical trio, babbles out in snooty way as she is the voice over of arrogant beloved who is wooed to travel to "Hollywood". Gulzar's amusing lyrical work acts brilliantly as the number is incorporated with humorous one-liners in depicting attitudes and expression of lovers. Neeraj Shridar maintains his impressive streak of singing and comes up as another winner that will surely boast album sales prospects.

Bol Na Halke Halke : After Neeraj Shridhar's infectious youthful rendition the mood turns romantic and subtle with Rahat Fateh Ali Khan's impressive Sufi musical presentation in romantically pristine soundtrack "Bol na Halke Halke". Gulzar's poetic flamboyance excels to its zenith and makes impressive vows in poetic verses and phrases that capture dreamy passions of lovers. After 'Chup Chup Ke" ('Bunty Aur Babli') and "Tumhi Dekho Na" ('Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna'), this number from Shankar Ehsaan Loy creates another euphoria for romantic feel with altogether different musical arrangements . The soundtrack is conceived on classical musical base where impressive "alaaps" make fine concoction with effective "sarangi"- "tabla" loops. "Bol Na Halke Halke" stands out as only soft "n" sentimental number in the album and it shows consistency on the part of musical composers for their multi-faceted musical competence.

Kiss of Love : "Kiss of Love" comes as carnival soundtrack conceived in a typical Latino styled musical arrangement. It has the party feel of tracks like "Dil Laga Na" ('Dhoom 2') and "Ab to Forever" ('Ta Ra Rum Pum') where numerous sounds, voices collage to give an infectious "merrymaking" feel. Vishal Dadlani (of Vishal-Shekhar fame) makes another compassionate attempt at playback singing after forgettable "Saiyaan" ('Ta Ra Rum Pum') in a more harsh and boisterous way. It's a fun-loving situational number where Vasundhra Das' sensuous voice adds feminine tinge. This above average number will have more takers from among the listeners who have thoroughly enjoyed music album of 'Dhoom 2'.

Jhoom Jam : The album concludes with an instrumental work "Jhoom Jam", which signifies the spirit of 'Jhoom Barabar Jhoom' through its signature beats and tunes of the film with fine collage of different orchestration. It can be treated more as background score for its rhythmic flow of signature tunes that should intensify the emotions of various characters in different situations than an entertaining soundtrack.

Shankar Ehsaan Loy comes up with another successful hi-profile album that will be climbing up on charts in coming weeks. This sounds different from earlier albums as it has three different versions of title tracks followed by numbers by singers like Neeraj Shridhar, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan and Vishal Dadlani. The soundtracks "Jhoom Barabar Jhoom", "Jhoom" and "Bol Na Halke Halke" will be striking gold while numbers like "Ticket to Hollywood" and "JBJ" will be attracting pop genre.
