Ram Gopal Verma, the self proclaimed king of inspirational lifts, makes one of the boldest attempt of his career by venturing into the old man-young girl love story in 'Nishabd'. Big B adds one more dimension to his stardom by playing obsessed old man opposite teenager Jiah Khan. The film is expected to be based on the literary work of Russian novelist Vladmir Nabokov's "Lolita". 'Nishabd' meaning "speechless" or "wordless" has been shot in record time with supporting star cast of Revathy, Shradha and Aftab Shivdasani. RGV's films were better known for its daunting background score with exceptions of musicals like 'Rangeela', 'Daud' and 'Mast'. 'Nishabd' comes out as surprise package from him as actors sing their emotions impressively with melodious beats and music. The album is one of the shortest possible musical presentations in Bollywood with just two original soundtracks. RGV along with leading Bollywood music company T-Series accommodates with ten bonus soundtracks from Big B's recent movies. The bonus tracks includes the deleted song (in the CD) "Kehta Hai Babul" ('Babul') and his other spicy entertaining numbers like "Chali Chali", "Main Yahan Tu Wahan", "Meri Makhna Meri Sohniya" ('Baghban'), "Come on" ('Babul'), "Yeh Kya Ho Raha Ha" ('Hum Kisi Se Kam Nahin'), "Kabhi Nae" (pop album "Tera Chehra"), "Chhod Na Re" ('Kaante') and "Miraksam" ('Waqt-the race against time'). The musical package of Amitabh Bachchan's recently sung along with the original soundtracks of 'Nishabd' can be heard on T-Series cassettes and CD's.
Rozana: Big B's singing credibility has always been a phenomenal factor in his films and all of his rendered numbers have made history in the past. "Rozana" is the biggest musical surprise of the year as the legendary actor makes silent and romantic moves through his sonorous vocal skills. Believe it or not it will sweep you off your floors as the titillating musical beats get entangled with sensuously poised lyrics. Vishal Bharadwaj makes another impressive move after the super success of 'Omkaara' in this passionately divine number. Munna Dhiman's lyrics "Ungli teri Thame hue har lamha, chalta hoon main, Tujhko liye ghar lautu aur ghar se nikalta hoon main…" shows the height of compassion of man towards his lady love. It's a song about fatal attraction showing its spark and flame through vociferously engrossing vocal strength of Amitabh Bachchan. It's a breed apart from what he has been singing for years and sounds more theatrical and expressive to ears. Last time it was in Yash Chopra's 'Silsila' where he rendered "Neela Aasman So Gaya" with the same harmonious touch and now the passion returns with full compassion in "Rozana". It ends up with nostalgic feel with "Rozana chale yaadon mein teri, Zindagi ka Safar, Tujhse hai roshan, Tujhse hai zinda, Yeh zindagi ka seher…" and leaves the listener with mesmerizing feel that stays in mind. It will definitely get itself in news for its innovatively romantic and passionate feel and will be listening treat for Big B's fans.
Take Lite: After Amitabh Bachchan, its time to hear and view sensuous endeavors of seductive babe Jiah Khan in enthralling soundtrack "Take Lite". This comes as a bigger surprise than "Rozana" where nubile nymphet Jiah Khan impresses to hilt with sensuous pop singing attire with fine support of rollicking Arabic and western music fusion. Jiah Khan delivered sensuous vibes sounding similar to vocal and musical flair of internationally acclaimed pop singer Shakira for its Latino-based Arabic-western music rendition. Farhan-Sajid's music takes big inspiration from the rhythms and beats of Shakira's hot selling soundtracks and spices them with Hinglish (Hindi plus English) lingo lyrics. Amar Mohile's lyrics may not sound poetic but they come with strong blend of peppy and snazzy styled lyrical work. Jiah oozes oomph through her sensuous whimpers and cries that form prelude to the soundtrack. The song "Take Lite" will make Jiah Khan a notable figure in musical fraternity after actress-turned-singer Vasundhra Das made herself popular with numbers like "It's time to disco" ('Kal Ho Na Ho') and "Where's the party tonight" ('Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna'). The sensuously conceived soundtrack will be a major thrust through its visuals as the most awaited chemistry of Big B and Jiah Khan will be flaming silver screen with this soundtrack.
'Nishabd' sounds too weak in terms of numbers of original soundtracks but impresses in a big way through both numbers that come in the voices of lead actors. Jiah Khan's "Take Lite" is a big revelation and sounds good news for the actress as she has displayed refined display of her vocal strength in the trendy way. The album will have more takers from Big B's fans as the rest of the bonus tracks were smash hit numbers from his previous releases. The listeners who have missed "Kehta Hai Babul" ('Babul") can enjoy his voice in this album.
