"Shake it (Club Dhol Mix)" opens up with fastidious DJ disc spins with a strong blend of disco beats fillers. Eric Pillai holds the fort and makes proceedings spontaneous with loud and high-pitched funky music. Suzanne D Mello's voice moves violently with energetic paced music. A sure shot DJ Collector's item!
YAARA VE: New singing prodigy Abhishek Naliwal dons Pakistani Sufi pop attire and throats out thematically inclined soundtrack - "Yaara Ve". The song is about "Naksha" and its aspirations and dreams connected with it. If "Ya Ali" showed the positive traits of Pritam's prowess of imbibing Sufism in his musical soundtracks, then "Yaara Ve" follows the trends. It may sound situational but with Abhishek's fine voice modulation matched with sonorous Sufi pop gives it a thunderous effect. The conventional usage of electric guitar, dholak and strong blend of keyboard generated techno-crafted music gives it a "must hear" outlook. If Pakistani pop artiste like Atif, Shafaqat Ali and Rahat Fateh Ali Khan have got foothold in Bollywood, then Abhishek Naliwal deserves better chances.
"Yaara Ve (Tumbi House Mix)" is stylish conceived club mix with Kailash Kher joining the party in the background. The song will work as catalyst for the film promotion and if shot aesthetically then it can create a rage among teenagers.
U & I: Funky hip-hop fluxed with boisterous bhangra flavors makes thunderous impact in the soundtrack "U & I". Sonu Nigam holds the mike and comes out with Reshammiya's styled nasal twang that mixes with raunchy flavors of the soundtrack. This high voltage floor maniac number has additional back up vocals of Dominic, Clinton, Suzanne, Harish, Vivenie and Vijay Prakash. This rip-roaring soundtrack talks about "Naksha" and its importance in an upbeat way.
LET'S DO BALLE BALLE (U & I) : Bhangra singers -- Labh Januja and Rana Mazumdar -- refresh mood and come in the traditional Bhangra style in delivering Bhangra "n" hip version of "U & I" as "Let's do Balle Balle (U&I)". This time the entire number is sung in contemporary Bhangra style with strong tinge of Punjabi folk music. It's an archetypical NRI entertaining song that will be liked by the UK and the US based NRI's and will add to funky quotient of the album.
DIL SE MILE DIL: Pritam and KK's deafening vocals speed through with the ferocious velocity of high-pitched disco beats as they sing "Dil Se Mile Dil". This time it's collective effort of both these singers that exudes youthful and enthused sentiments on the dancing floors. A contemporary hip-hop DJ track that comes with loads of beat juggling and hip-shaking effect!
JAT YAMLA: Bollywood's first he-man Dharmendra's most accepted and popular number "Main Jat Yamla" ('Pratigya') is rejuvenated and beautifully rehashed in the rollicking soundtrack "Jat Yamla". Sonu Nigam's passionately weird vocals try to match with the singing flair of immortal Mohd Rafi. It's different from previous numbers as it has added tribal music chorus effects that accompany the vocals throughout. It's carnival song that will pump up passions with foot-thumping "Bhangra" flavors and undoubtedly comes out as the finest number of the album. Shreya Ghoshal's brief rendition in between the number adds feminine presence and mixes well with Sonu's voice. This may not be as successful as "Main Jat Yamla Pagal Deewana" but will boost film promotion and audio sales in coming days. "Jat Yamla" has been aggressively publicized for the promotion of the film and if the film succeeds at the box-office then it can become a rage.
The melodic and rhythmic elements of "Jat Yamla" are used as recurring beats with truckloads of funky disco filler beats for the sassy and foot-tapping number "Jat Yamla (remix)". DJ Amyth and DJ Kiran's snazzy and flashy musical effects will pump up passions that will create many dance maniacs on the dance floors. This funky DJ's remixed number is a thoroughly enjoyable one that promises many takers from the teenybopper's genre.
NASHA: Traditional Arabic makes daunting effect with free flowing serpentine flow as Alisha Chinai's sultry voice emoting intoxicating passion in "Nasha". It's an above average number that will be conceptualized as an item number with voluptuous feminine charms. "Nasha" sounds as an old-fashioned tribal sensuous song that will have its existence in the climax of the film. Pop diva Alisha Chinai delivers the needful but the music and lyrics are ordinary, contemporary and offer no big surprises.
The music of 'Naksha' comes out in "party album" format with loads of frolicking fast paced soundtracks. Pritam shines again and lives up to the expectations of being one of the trendiest musical composers in the film industry. The soundtracks like "Jat Yamla", "U & I" and "Shake It" will catch the pop genre fancy. If the film is promoted with flashy music videos, then the audio sales will get major boost as the film enjoys high face value.
