Actor Akshay Kumar is on cloud nine these days. After all, he will be going to Canada for the games to be conducted between 30 January and 14 February 2010. As widely known Akshay Kumar is a great martial-art exponent and has been a brand ambassador for Special Olympics World Winter Games for the past three years. Recently, Akshay has been chosen the torchbearer for the 2010 Winter Olympic Games at Vancouver in Canada. For the first time, an Olympic Torch will be presented to an actor and not a sports person.
VIPUL REPEATS PAIR IN SEQUEL
Vipul Shah is now making ‘Singh Is Kinng 2’. He says that this cannot be made without Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif, who scorched the silver screen in the Box Office hit ‘Singh Is Kinng’ in the recent past. Even the audience wants to see the two of them together again, he adds. Vipul Shah is all set to reprise the Akshay and Katrina, pair in ‘Singh Is Kinng 2’. Vipul is excited about the sequel to ‘Singh Is Kinng’. He confirms that he has finalized both Akki and Kat for the lead roles and the flick will be made on a larger scale than the earlier one.

The lyricist and poet Gulzar and the actress Rakhee’s daughter, Meghna expects a baby and is in her sixth month of pregnancy. Confirming her pregnancy, excited Meghna says she is blessed by this gift of god and the baby is due in February 2010. Meghna has been keeping a very low profile these days. She was supposed to start her film ‘Milte Hain’ in 2009, but had to push it further due to the pregnancy. Her parents, Gulzar and Rakhee, say it’s a moment of great excitement in family.
VIDYA HITS BACK AT SHAHID

Actress Vidya Balan has gone through trauma following a nasty remark by her star colleague recently . She doesn’t reveal the name of the actor though. But it all started after working with Shahid Kapoor. You may recall that Shahid recently commented that he does not want to work with Vidya. This irked Vidya, who too hit back at Shahid and says even she doesn’t want to work with him. If someone doesn’t want to work with her, it’s his loss completely, adds the actress. Vidya further says she is hurt by this comment of Shahid, as he matters to her a lot. But, it is important for her now to walk away from this relationship. During ‘Kismat Konnection’, Shahid was rumored to be dating Vidya Balan. But after the debacle of the film, the rumor died down.
