The Himalayan beauty in Bollywood Manisha Koirala says she will join
politics soon. She admits it without mincing words. This is to recall
that she is granddaughter of B P Koirala and her grandniece of G P
Koirala who have both been ex-Prime Ministers of the mountain kingdom.
In fact, Manisha visited the B P Koirala Memorial during her recent
visit to Kathmandu during Diwali. She is reported to have had talks
about her forthcoming entry into politics there. However, she is yet
to decide whether she will contest elections as an Independent
candidate or join the Nepali Congress, nursed by senior members of her
family. According to sources close to her, she is serious about an
alternate career.
Incidentally, Manisha has found her man of choice during her long stay
in Paris with him, and finally decided to settle down soon with him.
Besides, the actress is lucky on the career front too. After ‘Khamoshi
The Musical’, she is again teaming up with Sanjay Leela Bhansali for a
flick. She is happy and says her passion for cinema is undiminished.
She adds Sanjay and she have worked really well together. She further
added that she wanted to work with Bhansali but waited for the right
part. Manisha is also on the verge of signing films with Yash Raj
Films and Raj Kumar Santoshi with whom she had earlier worked in
‘Lajja’. Manisha says she will be working soon with Mr Chopra and Mr
Santoshi. So, she is determined to lose the extra kilos and then make
a public appearance again. So cinema and Manisha can’t be separated
and she looks forward to a fresh start.
