Aishwarya Rai Bachchan celebrated her third birthday after marriage with hubby Abhishek Bachchan and her megastar father-in-law Amitabh Bachchan who wished Aishwarya Rai a long prosperous life on her 36th birthday on November 1, 2009. On this special occasion, the former Miss World has been named the first goodwill ambassador for Smile Train, a charity that works worldwide for children with cleft lip. Ash has partnered with the NGO, in association with her own charity - Aishwarya Rai Foundation - and will spread awareness and gather resources to help the movement. As the goodwill ambassador, Ash will actively work to help Smile Train provide free cleft surgery to children in 76 developing countries around the world, including India. Ash says that God has given her plenty of reasons to smile and she feels it's time to spread it around. There are a lot of children out there who so desperately need help, but can't receive timely care because their families cannot afford this surgery or are ill educated about this condition. Working with Smile Train, if she can make a difference in their lives, it will certainly make her feel honored and blessed, Ash adds.
ZOYA, FARHAN TOGETHER AGAIN
Zoya Akhtar has debuted with 'Luck By Chance' as a director and has earned brownies from critics. This movie has also done wonders for her sibling, Farhan Akhtar. Now, Zoya is back with another venture, again with Farhan in lead role. Earlier, the director has brought a movie that gave an insight into the cine industry. This time Zoya's yet-to-be titled venture is based on road theme. There is a slight change too. This time, Farhan shares the lead with two other actors. Zoya says the story is about three boys in Spain on a road trip. She adds that this movie is simpler than 'Luck By Chance'. Besides acting, Farhan also writes dialogues. We expect a lot from this brother-sister combo!
SHAH RUKH KHAN TURNS 44

Bollywood Badshah Shah Rukh Khan turned 44 on November 2, 2009. A day earlier actor cast a magic spell over the participants of the Airtel Delhi Half Marathon as he freely mingled with them. Many of them even stopped running just to get a glimpse of the superstar who was in capital to lend support to the event. SRK also greeted fans that gathered outside his house 'Mannat' on his birthday (November 2, 2009). He usually ended up cutting at least two dozen cakes because he found it hard to turn away any of his well -wishers. His wife Gauri Khan and Karan Johar hosted a surprise party for the actor and invited celebrities comprising Juhi Chawala and Jai Mehta, Hrithik Roshan and wife Sussanne, Sanjay and Maheep Kapoor, Chunky and Bhavna Pandey, Kajal Anand, Arjun and wife Mehr Rampal, Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan to attend the party.
HEMA'S BID TO HELP ESHA

Hema Malini does everything she can do to ensure her daughter Esha's re-launch into Bollywood goes well. She has roped in four expert cinematographers for shooting separate portions of upcoming 'Tell Me Oh Khuda's four actors. While one will shoot Esha's scenes with Rishi Kapoor in Turkey, the other Vinod Khanna will do scenes in Rajasthan. Thus, each cinematographer will give a different feel to the movie. It is learnt that the movie titled 'Tell Me Oh Khuda' is just similar to Hema Malini's previous directorial venture - 'Dil Aashna Hai'. But the director of 'Tell Me Oh Khuda', Mayur Puri clarifies that both flicks are similar inasmuch as they make a search. Significantly, Hema Malini likes this concept behind 'Tell Me Oh Khuda'.
