SAIF - KAREENA STAGE SHOW IN SHARJAH!!

In a strategic move hi-profile celebrities and real life lovers Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan will be performing for their first solo show in Sharjah. The deal marks Kareena and Saif's venture into doing shows apart from films and endorsements together. Bringing Kareena and Saif together for live performance was the brainwave of Morani brothers who are going to script and direct "Jashan 2008" to be held at the Sharjah Stadium in Dubai. "Kareena has a huge fan following in Dubai. So has Saif! When the Moranis approached them to come together for a show, the first of its kind, both, Kareena and Saif were thrilled! They agreed instantly," said a source. The only other star to join the duo for the show will be Minnisha Lamba. The three stars will make solo entries. Besides the solo acts, Kareena and Saif will be performing together too. Kareena says, "I am very excited because this is for the first time that Saif and I will be performing together on stage."
CHUNKY TURNS RAMU INTO 'SHAMU'

Chunky Panday is doing a caricature of Ram Gopal Varma called Sham Gopal Varma in his forthcoming film 'Khalbali Re Khalbali'. But instead of calling it a caricature, the colorful actor prefers to term it "a tribute to the maverick maker". In the movie, this character will also be fondly addressed as Shamu, again a take-off on Ramu. "Chunky is mad enough to play such roles. Don't be surprised if you hear him aping Amitabh Bachchan or Shah Rukh Khan next and playing Don," says his publicist Dale Bhagwagar. As for 'Khalbali Re Khalbali', the film is directed by Ajay Chandok and also stars Nikhil Dwivedi, Sada, Sanjay Mishra and Johnny Lever.
RITUPARNA BELIEVES IN GOOD SCRIPTS
The Bengali beauty has a lot going for her in Kolkata, like her many critically acclaimed films. Of them is 'Swarger Nichey Manush' which was nominated for the Osian Film Festival in the best film category. The ravishing girl recently went to Delhi for the function, where she shared the platform with Konkona Sen Sharma, Aparna Sen, Gul Panag. But it's not only critically acclaimed films for Rituparna; she has been trying her luck with commercial films in Mumbai too. But that doesn't mean she will take up just about anything. Rituparna wants to experiment with different kinds of film and believes in good scripts, which is why she has done "Sirf" which has a different storyline. Same was the case with "Main, Meri Patni aur Woh" and presently doing films like Karan Razdan's "Mittal Vs Mittal" and Warner Bros's "SRK" with Vinay Pathak.
SONU SOOD JOINS THE GOVINDA GANG!

Sonu Sood had a taste of the dahi-handi celebrations both on-screen and off-screen. The actor was shooting over the weekend at the Kandivili Studio's for UTV's 'Dhoondte Rahe Jaaoge', directed by Umesh Shukla. Sonu's co-stars include Soha Ali Khan and Paresh Rawal. A Janmashtami sequence was shot with Sonu on Saturday. The Govinda Yuva Mandal, a professional dahi handi group, was hired for the shoot. Sonu says, "It was a coincidence that we shot the dahi handi sequence on the Janmashtami eve." The actor adds, "When I had to break the handi, I was thrilled and everyone on the set was also excited. There were six pyramids and I had to climb up and break the handi. Though it's a first time for me but I did it with full confidence." After the shoot the Govinda Yuva Mandali asked Sonu and the rest of the cast to do a festival ritual. "They played the Nasik dhol and dance with them. I happily agreed to be a part of the festive mood," adds Sonu.
PRIYANKA, SHAHID FALL OFF BIKE

Actress Priyanka Chopra is sporting quite a few bruises after she and Shahid Kapur fell off a bike while shooting for Vishal Bharadwaj's film 'Kaminay'. The accident took place in Pune last week while a scene that required Priyanka to ride a bike with Shahid on the back seat was being shot. The two were riding the bike on a slope that was slightly muddy when the two-wheeler went out of control and the two fell off. And to make matters worse, the bike fell on top of them. "By God's grace, I am fine and so is Shahid, except for a few cuts and bruises. I think the only thing that is seriously damaged is my ego, otherwise I am alive and kicking," Priyanka said.

Hansika, who was in Hyderabad for the shooting her film 'Maska', had met with an accident while she was on her way to the studio. But she surprised all those present at the studio by resuming the shoot soon after getting the medical aid.
