He says, "I find no reason to celebrate my birthday when a large number of people have been killed in bomb blasts in Bangalore and Ahmedabad." He told this to the media on phone from South Africa. Dutt, who is in Cape Town in connection with a shoot of his film, expressed anguish over reports that Mumbai was on the hit list of terrorists.

Reminding the media about his concept of "Gandhigiri" in his film "Munna Bhai MBBS", the actor said that he was saddened to learn that innocent people have been killed in terror attacks. He added , "My heart pours out for those families which are victims of sinister designs of militants who are hell bent on destroying communal harmony in the country."
