STUNTMAN THREATENS SUNIEL SHETTY

Actor Suniel Shetty has filed a complaint against a stuntman Puran Chauhan saying that the latter has threatened to kidnap his children following a dispute over the contract entered into by them. Joint commissioner of police (crime) Rakesh Maria confirmed receiving the complaint. Shetty's complaint states that Puran Chauhan had promised to get Shetty's company Popcorn Entertainment permission to shoot on railway premises but failed to do so. After Chauhan failed to obtain the required permission, Shetty cancelled the contract.

On the other hand, Chauhan also has filed a complaint against the actor in Shahdara, in Delhi, alleging that the actor has been threatening and abusing him. Shetty said, "Yes, I abused him because he provoked me.. He took the names of my children and even threatened to take them away. I will go to any extent to protect my family." Rashid Mehta, president of the stuntmen union, said: "Puran Chauhan is handicapped but on his insistence he was issued membership in the special category. "The crime branch has issued summons to Puran Chauhan to present himself and give his side of the story.
