CHANDANA DIXIT SAY'S 'JAWANI IS ABOUT THE SPRIT OF YOUTHFULNESS'!!

If you have heard superhit songs like 'Shaher ki Ladki'(Rakshak), (Goriya Churana Mera Jiya) (Coolie No1), Khul Gaya Naseeb ( Bhai), Naino Se Mile ( Jan-E_Jigar) and last but not the least Chuma Chuma in Daan Veer, you will automatically know who is Chandana Dixit.
Chandana is a well-known singer in the playback arena. Though neither of her parents had persuaded music at the professional level, her mother who happens to be Sangeet Visharad recognized young Chandana's talent and initiated her into learning classical music from none other than Guru Mata Saraswati Rane of the Kinnara Gharana.
She is fair, She is beautiful and she has a mellifluous voice which makes you listen to her again and again, even while onlookers ogle at her for her looks could have taken her to acting. Chandana has just come out with her first ever-Hindi pop album called JAWANI. The album consists of fast, foot tapping as well as soothing serene numbers written by Dev
Kohli of Maine Payar Kiya fame. The album has been set to tune by Tabum.
Says Chandana ' Jawani is all about the sprit of youthfulness, the sporting pranks, the go-out-and-perform attitude, the feeling of singing and dancing on the smallest of pretexts and briefest accomplishment, the brazen thought of love, the closeness with your beloved, the relationship that binds you, the intimacy etc.
Accordingly, to Chandana singing for the album Jawani has been a very unique and emotionally satisfying experience because, as she puts it 'it's a progression towards singing pop after having started her career singing for cover versions for Tips the music company with which I was earlier bound by a contract. I have the freedom while doing an album unlike when I sing a song as a playback singer. I can sing at ease and there is no limitation of a given situation like in films. However, what is must is you have got to sing as per the mood of the individual numbers in accordance with the lyrics and requirement of a Music Director.

Chandana feels confident that people will notice the various facets and dimensions, which are there to her voice after the release of Jawani. Though she confesses that she is keen on singing for more films, at the same time she feels that it is tough competition as far as playback singing is concerned. For the last three years various singers who were earlier associated with pop album have made their presence felt as playback singers too.These include Hema Sardesai, Jaspinder Narula and Sunidhi Chauhan.
