The IIFA Awards are round the corner and the entire film industry is gearing up to go to Dubai for the event. The IIFA weekend from 14th to the 17th of June will have a fashion event, Naseeruddin Shah's film premiere and the award ceremony. Let's tell you a little about each of the events and what are the actors looking forward to.
Let's first talk about the Fashion event, in which quite a few stars will walk the ramp wearing Manish Malhotra and Vikram Phadnis's outfits. "My collection is completely glamorous. I have used a lot of prints this time, it's basically a blend of Indian and Arabic culture," says the very fashionable Manish Malhotra who is soon going to open his first fashion store in Dubai. For Vikram Phadnis who already has a store in Dubai, "My collection will have nothing subtle, it will be very vibrant. It's going to be a riot of colors." So loads of stars in plentiful of colors that's how this televised event would look like.

The film to be premiered in this year's IIFA is Naseeruddin Shah's 'Yuon Hota To Kya Hota'. We asked Naseeruddin Shah what prompted him to take the film to Dubai. " IIFA awards tell the world about Indian cinema. In Dubai lots of Indians stay, lots of good people who are interested in cinema will come. They'll tell me about my film and the word will get spread." The film stars Konkana Sen, Ayesha Takia, Jimmy Shergill, Irfan Khan and Karan Nath among others.

When asked about working with Naseer, a few actors had this to say. "I like the fact that he is straight and sometimes sarcastic. It was good to work with a director who has been an actor first and that too a world-class actor," says Ayesha Takia. "When Nasser came to me with the script, I told him I don't want to see the script, I'll just do the film. Not every day Nasseruddin Shah makes a film and offers it to me. So whatever was that he chose for me I did," says Konkana Sen.

Also there's a Buddha Bar there so I would like to chill out there as well," says Arbaaz Khan, who has attended most of the IIFA Awards. "My son is getting launched in a white feather film, and there's going to be a press conference with him there, so I am looking forward to his first public appearance as an actor," says Kiron Kher.
