It seems like the wedding season in Bollywood is here to stay. After Aamir Khan got married in December, now it's the turn of a star daughter. Yesteryears' hit pair Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Singh's daughter Riddhima Kapoor is on the threshold of marriage. Last night Mumbai saw a scintillating sangeet ceremony. Weddings are something that Bollywood loves. The bride and the bride groom certainly enjoy their wedding but the star brigade also turns out in full swing at every Bollywood wedding. And Ridhima Kapoor's sangeet was no exception.
The who's who of the film industry strutted their designer stuff. Amisha Patel came in a red saree, whereas Rekha in her best south Indian saree looked stunning. The Kapoor khandaan was also present in full force, especially Shammi and Shashi Kapoor. There was Jaya Bachchan, Dimple Kapadia, Amrita Singh with her daughter Sara, Karan Johar in a black and blue kurta were all seen beaming.

"I wish the couple all the best, I love Rishi and Neetu, I think they are the ultimate romantic couple, and I will always wish the very best for their family," said Karan Johar. We spoke with the family on the sangeet to find out how mushy they were. "She is my darling, and I am very happy with her choice of her partner. I would just ask everyone to give their blessings to the couple," said a very happy Rishi Kapoor, who was dressed in a parrot green kurta.

For the mother, it was happiness as well as sadness as she is going to send her daughter away to a different city. "I have mixed feelings right now. But yes, very happy indeed because Bharat is a wonderful man and I am sure he is going to keep Riddhima very happy. We are extremely delighted at this new addition into our family," said Neetu Singh.

When we quizzed the groom Bharat Sahni who is an entrepreneur in New Delhi, he said, "I am glad to have become a part of this family. They have taken me with open arms. Mama and papa are extremely warm and nice people. And yes I love Riddhima a lot." The couple met abroad when they had gone there to study and since then they have been interested in each other. When we asked Riddhima about the one thing that she adored about Bharat, she coyly replied, "He is very humble and down to earth."

The best wedding gift for Riddhima is that her parents invited Salman Khan for both Sangeet and the wedding. Riddhima had a crush on Salman in her younger days and she is absolutely delighted with this. "I couldn't have asked for anything more. They are doing a lot for me and yes the Salman thing is extremely special. I am so glad he has come for the sangeet and his best wishes are there."

For her brother Ranbir, who was busy attending the guests didn't talk much, but the sister did have something to share about him. "The last couple of months and days have been busy and we were trying to get everything in order. Ranbir has also been running quite a bit for the wedding. But he has been extra sweet with me for the past couple of days. We fight at the smallest of the things but lately it's been like he agrees to whatever I say," said a very mushy Riddhima.
