Eminent writer and lyricist Javed Akhtar made an astonishing move this time as he turned an actor. The veteran creative genius has garnered many narrative successes for renowned Bollywood actors and music composers. This time he faces the shout "light, camera, action" from the director as he faces camera for the first time in his long career. The proud director is not his son Farhan Akhtar but a seasoned campaigner Madhur Bhandarkar. The film will be 'Corporate' and a Bhandarkar next year presentation his this year's successful 'Page 3'. The 'Corporate' like the 'Page 3' will be hard hitting and will be based on the real life stories of the corporate world. In Madhur Bhandarkar's 'Corporate' Zaved will be playing along with Bipasha Basu, Kay Kay Menon and Raj Babbar. He will be appearing in one scene where he will be presented with the "Businessman of the Year" award. The shooting of the scene was held recently at Film City, Mumbai.

The veteran writer was excited and expressed his delight at facing the camera for the first time. According to him, it was Madhur's love and affection that encouraged him for this guest appearance. He sticks to his roots and prefer to be a writing genius for the rest of his career. He believes that the actors struggle for years and the acting profession needs a lot of dedication and hard work. When asked about his experience of acting in son Farhan Akhtar's film, he replied spontaneously but humorously.

Javed Akhtar has also been actively involved with talent show "Fame Gurukul". Besides him there are many Bollywood celebrities who have participated in talent shows. He is also excited about his daughter Zoya's future project that will be on floors by next month. The project has already hit headlines with Hrithik Roshan and Kareena Kapoor being selected for the title roles. He is presently working on scripting one big film besides rendering lyrics to many films. Javed still has nostalgic memories of his association with writer Salim. Salim-Javed wrote for the indomitable Big B's films.
