Four Hindi movies are releasing this Friday, March 12, 2010, but on top of them is 'Right Yaa Wrong'. Though it has a very good cast of Sunny Deol, Irrfan Khan, Konkona Sen Sharma and Isha Koppikar, but Irrfan shoulders the movie. It is learnt that Delhi-based producer Krishan Chaudhary of 'Bhoot Uncle' and 'Rokkk' wanted to make a movie with big stars. So, he joined hands with showman Subhash Ghai and writer Neeraj Pathak. Neeraj narrated the script to Sunny Deol.

Incidentally, papa Dharmendra also heard the story and asked his son to do it. Then, Meeraj signed on Irrfan, Konkona and Isha koppikar. Sunny accepted the offer and gave dates for the shooting schedule. Neeraj shot the movie on five different sets of the Filmcity in 55 days at a cost of Rs 220 million. According to the movie's story, Sunny Deol, a cop himself is injured in a shoot-out and confined to a wheel chair. Dejected with his future prospects, he asks his wife, Isha Koppikar to end his life! She readily agrees so she can carry on her adulterous affair with her husband's stepbrother.

The movie centers on an intriguing tale of two cops - Ajay Singh played by Sunny Deol and ACP Rane played by Irrfan Khan. Their rivalry leads them on a battle for supremacy. Ajay's wife played by Esha Koppikhar is found murdered, so Ajay becomes the prime suspect and his nemesis ACP Rane is heads the case. Vidya played by Konkana Sen, is younger sister of ACP Rane. She is Ajay's only support as Ajay and Rane fight it out against each other. The investigation transpires into a mystery locked with secrets. Behind the secrets lies an astonishing discovery. The moot question is if Sunny knew about the ugly secret, and more importantly about his teammate Irrfan Khan, if the latter was his friend or an enemy.

Though the script is good enough for making a movie, it suffers from lack of promotion. Isn't this sheer waste of good cast? Besides, we wonder if it falls in the genre of a thriller or a mystery; it seems to be neither excepting being a good drama. Now, about the title, it's right as Irrfan though always pursuing the right fails when the wrong involves the honest cop's own sister konkona Sen. As told earlier, the movie keeps the movie watcher glued to the seat throughout its duration of over two hours. Neeraj doesn't let the audience get bored at any stage. Yes, the credit for it goes to its experienced and talented cast.

The story can be divided into two phases. First, Sunny Deol doesn't mind his physical disability and wants to die. However, he is unaware of the infidelity of his wife Isha Koppikar. Second, his friendship with his buddy teammate Irrfan Khan, which is under doubt. Irrfan is, however, an honest and sincere cop bound by his duty to curb lawlessness, irrespective of the fact that it involves his best friend. However, the destiny tests him when he finds his own sister Konkona Sen Sharma romancing with his own good friend Sunny. So, the honest cop is confused if what he sees his right or wrong. Doesn't Irrfan's sister prove the right cop-cum-brother wrong?

Overall, the movie deserves a watch because of the good script coupled with an equally nice performance by the great cast. This is the lone good Hindi movie releasing this Friday.
