Most watching the flick would say 'Perfect Mismatch' has no scope with the audience. It's pretty much a Bollywood cliché movie based on the theme of boy-meets-girl amidst family opposition. The movie fails to impress in any of the following: storyline, direction and screenplay. It's a story about an architect Aman played by Anubhav Anand who falls in love with beautiful Neha played by Nandana Sen immediately upon setting his eyes on her.
And then their parents/ guardians meet - Boman Irani playing Mr Patel and Anupam Kher acting as Mr Bhalla. The writer and producer tried to bring in the great divide and humor in the interaction with and between a stark Gujarati and a staunchly Punjabi people, both with strict thoughts on against marrying outside their caste. The lovebirds are anguished as their parents disagree and disapprove of the couple in the very first meeting.

The story becomes a little unreal in terms of Bollywood style when the couple doesn't do much to change things. So, the action gets busted right there! The film turns lackluster right there. Two top actors - Anupam Kher and Boman Irani - had raised a lot of hopes for the audience. Kher is still tolerable. But, Boman fizzles out in this flick, or the film renders him useless.

Debutant Anubhav Anand creates a bit of a mark. Nandana Sen hardly performs. The differences between the two fathers are too trivial and flimsy. Besides terrible writing, Ajmal Zaheer Ahmad's direction could be said to be not good. Cinematography is okay. Barring a few individualistic sequences, the overall story is passé for today's new age Bollywood audience. The story just doesn't cut it. Many things in this flick may be a mismatched!
