'Runway' is another action thriller that hits the screens this Friday. The other one is the much-hyped and big starrer 'New York'. Suneil and Praful Tiwari direct 'Runway'. The pivotal character of the movie is Allan played by Amarjjet. He goes to Mauritius with a hand on the trigger and an eye on the casino owner Victor. Back home he turns into a contract killer. The moot question is why should he turn into a contract killer? Yes, he has a tough task ahead; he has to save his love Melvyna played by Deepal Shaw from the evil world of drugs. Melvyna is a victim of drug abuse. And the only way he can save her is by turning into a serial killer himself. Mauritius is full of colorful characters like Shaina played by Tulip Joshi, a dancer in the casino; Khalid played by Lucky Ali, an assassin on Interpol's wanted list, and David played by Shawar Ali, a casino owner.

As the story unfolds we find that Allan saves Melvyna, outsmarts the smartest crooks around and hits his target! First, Allan arrives in Mauritius on an assignment for Anthony played by Sharat Saxena who is a mafia don. He goes there to get his girlfriend Melvina out of danger from the drug world. When he kills a casino owner Victor played by Nagesh Bhosale on the instruction of his boss, he realizes that Khalid is after his blood on the instruction of the mafia don. He didn't know the trick played on him by the mafia don in getting Victor murdered by him. So, he tries to escape back to India and is helped by bar dancer Shaina.

'Runway's is a good script with a lot of potential in it. Initially, it moves slow but soon picks up momentum when Allan shoots casino owner Victor at the call of the mafia don. The movie has all the ingredients of a movie like suspense, drama, intrigue, romance and action to be implemented during its less than two-hour's duration. The plot is good in all respects; it's well written and very well executed inasmuch as it hits the climax.

Acting-wise, the movie doesn't cast big stars but those signed deliver the result beyond expectation. Though this is Amarjeet's only second film yet he proves that he has grown very much. The character he plays isn't an easy one but he has succeeded in impressing the audience. Tulip Joshi too plays her part well. Lucky Ali succeeds in his role of a contract killer. Deepal Shaw isn't seen much in the movie but justifies her assigned role. Among others who lend their able support throughout the movie are Sharat Saxena, Shawar Ali, Dayanand Shetty and Mreenal Deshraj. Vida Samadzai from Afghanistan impresses too.

In the music department also, we find the movie very successful. Shamir Tandon has provided good musical scores in "Khuda Ke Liye" and "Teri Yaadein". The music goes well with the movie without hindering the plot's speed. Overall, the movie succeeds in an otherwise disappointing scenario. This proves that a well-written and well-executed story can definitely win the hearts of the audience, irrespective of the low budget and relatively less known stars.
