This Friday there is only one movie 'Kisse Pyaar Karoon' except, of course, 'Siddarth - The Prisoner'. The latter is a short movie and has limited scope because of being an unconventional one. Though the movie had been completed years ago, the producer picked up the courage only now to release it. At present, we have three movies like Rakesh Mehra's 'Delhi 6', Priyadarshan's 'Billu' and Anurag Kashyap's 'Dev D' already running at theaters for few weeks.

This is noteworthy that 'Kissse Pyaar Karoon' director Ajay Chandok has made movies like 'Nehle Pe Dahla', 'Jeet' and 'Team' in the past, and has been an assistant to famous director David Dhawan. Then, Ajay got busy with this movie's script and narrated it to Arshad Warsi who readily agreed to do it. Mind it that he had committed this movie before shooting to fame as Circuit in 'Munna Bhai MBBS', so he completed it. However, no one was ready to fund 'Kissse Pyaar Karoon' and the director had to defer its release several times. Luckily, producer Balagiri consented to make the movie as he found Arshad Warsi playing a major role in it.

Ajay Chandok saw the rushes of Aashish Chowdhary starrer 'Dhamaal', and signed him too. Since the movie centers on three flirts, Ajay signed Yash Tonk as the third guy. Apart from this, he also signed Udita Goswami, Shweta Menon and Aarti Chhabaria as heroines. No sooner the casting was over than the shooting began. But the shooting schedule was disturbed as Arshad Warsi got busy in his other movie assignments. Anyway, the movie was completed and the Censor Board gave it a U/A certificate. Anil Dhyani has released it now with fifty prints.

The movie is likely to catch up with the general audience, especially in single screen theaters. The cast being good and varied, and also the movie being full of fun, is likely to attract common audience. Moreover, there is hardly any competition from this week's other release -'Siddarth - The Prisoner'. We wish the movie was released a few years ago as the audience has matured now to bear such cheap dialogues and songs! Most of them are filthy enough to be deleted before long. For instance: "Agar doodh milta hai market mein toh bhes (Buffalow) kyun chahiye?" "You need a substitute or prostitute!" Don't they provoke you to walk out of the theaters before suffering more?

There are three thick but flirt friends in the movie -- Sid played by Arshad Warsi, John by Aashish Chowdhry and Amit by Yash Tonk. Everything moves smooth till Sheetal played by pretty Udita Goswami enters the scene. To usurp the wealth of John she entices him. Realizing that Sid and Amit could thwart her plans, she creates problems and hurdles in their friendship. Sid and Amit also see through her game and decide to distance John from her, but in vain. When Ashish doesn't get Arti Chhabaria, his friends hook him up with Udita Goswami.

But he has to forget his thick friends as Udita doesn't like them and consider them belonging to a lower strata of class! So they bring in a prostitute, Chameli/Julie played by Sheetal Menon for help. Udita is linked to the underworld Don, AK47 played by Shakti Kapoor. Though the director has the potential to strike the right note the writer lacks the skill. Udita makes her mark but is afraid that she may not look as pretty as she is now. After all, she acted in this movie years ago when she had just entered the profession.

Aarti Chhabria is wasted as several other actors including Aashish Vidyarthi and Shakti Kapoor. Shweta Menon entertains but she is seen seldom on the screen. Arshad Warsi is an exception who excels in his role. Daboo Malik's music is pleasant, especially its title track and 'Bechain Saansein'. But some filthy songs like the dialogues have marred this department, too. Overall, the movie is worth a watch by the common crowds and is unbearable for the matured audience in spite of a good cast though unutilized.
