In spite of three movies -- 'Dev D', 'Mere Khwabon Mein Jo Aaye' and 'Chal Chala Chal' - this Friday, the week falls flat for the audiences. We have reviewed two films and find them only a bit better than 'Chal Chala Chal'. This is a comedy because of too many funny actors in the cast, but turns out a tragedy because of pathetic script and bad direction. The script is too old to film at the present time.
According to the movie's story, Govinda who plays Deepak is a simpleton inasmuch as he switches on jobs because he doesn't compromise with the prevailing corrupt system in the country. The irony is that in spite of being a victim of the corrupt system including judiciary, he has to help his father in a legal matter. His father is Om Puri named Omkarnathji, who is battling a court case against the school management of which he has been a former Principal, to get his dues of provident fund and pension. When his father wins the case and the school is ordered to give a part of its property, he gets the school bus in compensation.

Now, he runs the bus, according to his father's judgement. But, Deepak's family comprises two sisters - Chhaya and Aprana - played by Upasana Singh and Amita Nangia, respectively, along with their husbands - Vinayak Agrawal, a lawyer played by Asrani and U.U. Upadhyay played by Manoj Joshi. They are opposed to running of the bus by their brother-in-law as they consider it below their family dignity. Apparently, they want their share in property! But Deepak resists it. Enters Rajpal Yadav playing Sunder, who is desperate to get an American Visa. Sundar, an age-old friend, and makes initial investments in their transport company named "Chal Chala Chal" that runs the family bus.

The bus driver, Basantilal played by Razak Khan wears thick glasses and the conductor Harilal played by Asif Basra has an eye for cash. Corruption doesn't leave Deepak here also and chases him. U.U. Upadhyay, a chief vehicle inspector, extorts money from Deepak. On the other hand, the transport workers mess up Deepak's life and business with the trade union leader Singh's support.

As usual in Bollywood, the hero finds some solace in romance! Since the bus hits Reema Sen playing as Payal, she also extorts money from Deepak. However, Deepak survives because of his faith in his principles and his father's judgement. This will not be out of place to mention that the entire cast has been wasted in this movie because of outdated script coupled with lack of good direction. In fact, the movie had begun long ago and suffered on several accounts, including the long absence of Govinda for shooting.
