    HOPEFULLY, RGV'S LAST THRILLER

Not contented perhaps with his recent 'Sarkar Raj', Ram Gopal Verma has come back with his favorite subject. This time, he brings in 'Contract' that tries to depict the prevailing nexus between underworld and terrorism. So, it's Verma's underworld trilogy beginning with 'Satya', 'Company' and 'Contract'. Hopefully this will end RGV's company or contact with underworld for good, as this has failed in establishing its credential with underworld as in his previous movies. Similarly, there is no link between terrorism and underworld. In spite of all these flaws, it's nevertheless an engrossing movie worth watching, and not to miss at all.

According to the movie's story, Aman aka Amaan who is very happy with his family suddenly loses his wife and daughter in a bomb blast. Though he cannot bring his beloved ones back to life, but he can certainly avenge their death by penetrating into the underworld and destroying the death merchants. Thus, he takes training under Ahmed Hussain (Prasad Purandare) to fight out his two arch rivals - Goonga( Limaye) and RD (Nijhawan). Soon Amaan becomes an ace shooter and finishes Goonga's gangmen. Goonga turns furious and tries scheme after scheme to get rid of Amaan , but in vain. Consequently, Amaan decides to win the trust of his other arch rival. He becomes RD's able and trusted player though the latter's gang men hate Amaan and feel jealous in their hearts. But, they are helpless.

The movie stands upbeat as far as its background score is considered. Its songs are good too, inasmuch as one will like to listen to them repeatedly. The item song titled "Rabba Khair kare…" gels well with the situation in the movie . It wouldn't be out of place to compare it with the songs of RGV's previous films, and say that it's much better. A look at the cast shows that the actors have performed too well ranging from Goonga to RD to Sultan. Zakir Hussain is ahead of them as an actor loving blood, shorn of mercy and full of sadistic pleasure as a terrorist. His climax part is worth watching, indeed.

The narrations are good though repetitive sometime. The cinematography by Aseem Mishra is fantastic, especially his camera capturing the blast scenes with blood oozing out . In spite of so much of violence and terror, the movie has light moments too, especially the scene showing arguments between Goonga and his wife Mirchi (Amruta Subhash). Purandare as cop Ahmed Hussain has proved brilliant. Vibha Chebur as the female Commissioner makes an impact too. Thus, Verma has proved his casting skill. Even the two new faces - Adhvik Mahajan and Sakshi Gulati - have proved themselves . Though Adhvik isn't very handsome but he succeeds in his debut performance. RGV's discovery of these young actors is great, indeed. Adhvik is considered too good for such thrilling performances. Sakshi is a good discovery too as she is pretty like any other female actor and has an additional asset of expressing herself through her eyes.

Overall, the movie is good in all respects. This is likely to do as well as any other Ram Gopal Verma's hit.
