Though captivating because of its strength in its content and treatment and unlike other run-of-the-mill movies, 'Bhram' lives more to its title inasmuch as it ends on a cinematic illusion. The movie is based on the story of certain people living in a world of illusions. Though every human uses illusions to distract one's mind from a truth they would rather not face, but their effects can be drastic and that is what 'Bhram' is all about. Pawan Kaul, the director, is happy that he got an opportunity to give shape to his long cherished dreams. Moreover, his male cast comprising Milind Soman and Dino Morea isn't heavyweight as to evoke huge expectations from it.

Hence, the audience looks very pleased with their performances, as they have excelled themselves. Even the movie's lead female though a newcomer Sheetal Menon has had a role of a lifetime, one of a woman with a twisted psychology. She has thus faced the challenges of her role quite well. Though 'Bhram' doesn't fall in the category of big budget movies, as it's not a lavish production yet it has come out as a refined, crisp and engrossing product of cinematic professionalism. We got this confirmed during our meeting with the lead cast during their promotional tour to New Delhi on the eve of its release. The Star Cast comprises Dino Morea, Milind Soman, Sheetal Menon, Simone Singh and Chetan Hansraj.

'Bhram' is a story about four people and Dino Morea is faced with Sheetal Menon in this film. The film is mostly in flashback and explores to find the reasons that forced her to enter into the dark world of modeling. Shaan (Dino Morea) considers himself as the most eligible bachelor in town though it's his Bhram (illusion)! He falls for an alcoholic and fashion model Antara Tyagi (Sheetal Menon) who goes bed-hopping with every socialite, presumably because 'all fashion models have pink thongs and black lungs', according to a doctor in the movie.

Shaan takes his would-be wife to his elder brother Dev (Milind Soman). But as soon as they confront each other, she cries "rape" though on her elder sister years ago. Dev defends saying it's just Antara's illusion. As a result, Shaan sets out to Kullu Manali to discover the truth. And truths are not illusion; meaning Dev was actually the rapist!

Dino seems to be perfectly fit as ever while sporting a new look with long hair. Milind also wears a new look in the movie. But is there some one close to Millind who can guide him in choosing the films? On the one hand Millind is doing international movies while on the other hand he is degrading his image by doing the movie like 'Bhram'.

Its music has a variety with its beats and melodies. Pritam's contribution to its orchestration and arrangement is noteworthy; he has done a fantastic job. Sonu Niigam's rendition is as always par excellence. Sonu's Jaane kyun' is wonderful. Its credit goes to the movie director Pavan Kaul too as he is stated to have zeroed in on it after endless sittings with Pritam. Technically 'Bhram' is not that good as it was expected. But yes the camera work is good. However, Director Pawan Kaul needs more cinematic knowledge/thinking.

On the music side, 'Shaura' has some good marks. Adnan's music has done full justice to the lyrics provided by none other than Javed.

At the end of the day 'Bhram' is still a Bhram (Confussion) for audiences.
