The ugly concept of "Gigolo" -the male prostitute-- makes feeble and uninspiring dent at the box office with 'Mr. 100%-The Real Player'. The film happens to be new bold offering from the filmmaker who trades sex flicks for cheap entertainment. The film highlights the concept of "prostitution by choice" and this time it comes from the mindset of a male prostitute. It was earlier tried in sleazy films like 'Double Cross' (Sahil Khan, Nigar Khan) but was completely rejected. Like last few years this skin flick rests on the shoulders of Aryan Vaid who portrays the lead character of "Gigolo"- 'Mr.100% -The Real Player'.
The unexplored sleazy territories of lesbianism and wife swapping were tried in the recent past and this film adds to second offering in male prostitution. The subject may titillate western audiences but won't find many takers in India. The low budget films and some filmmakers have traded in skin flicks and this does not surprise that such an ugly subject is plagiarized in silver screen. It shows the lack of vision in exploring new themes. It might be hi-socialite culture of cosmopolitan cities but ordinary audiences won't have stomach to digest it.

In his days of miseries he is sheltered by Vishal (Irfan Khan) who happens to be the biggest "gigolo" of the town. He introduces him into the profession of male prostitution. The sad story of Rajesh from innocent boy to "gigolo" draws sympathy for Rajesh from Sonu. Sonu is fatally attracted towards Rajesh and their physical intimacies grow passionately. Rajesh visits Sonu regularly and it disturbs his prostitution business. One fateful day Simran is confronted with the reality of Rajesh. It tears her apart and she decides to part her relationship with him. Vishal is hospitalized after being declared HIV positive and this reforms Rajesh. The skin feast ends on a happy and promising note but proves a painful voyage for the viewers.

'Mr.100%' tries to convince viewers that sex sells like vegetables in high class societies and there are companies to promote it in large scale. "Gigolos" finds acceptance and appreciation in the world of sexually forbidden rich women who trade in male bodies for their sexual satisfaction. It shows the ugly and hidden side of society which has been inhibited for years. Bollywood has delivered sugar coated love stories for decades but films like 'Jigyasa' and 'Mr. 100%' show the ugly façade of high profile lives. "Gigolos" or male prostitutes are generally struggling aspirants of Bollywood or any entertainment industry that fails to get professional grounding. Besides, there are sets of youngsters who pick this profession by choice for money and lust. The lustful journey begins with delight but ends on a sad note. In a world of AIDS and other sexual diseases, the film might act as a message but fails to delivers it properly. 'Aisa Kyon Hota Hai' tries to be an eye opener for AIDS awareness but it fails and ironically it has Aryan Vaid in the lead role.

This movie may add one more subject to filmmaking but won't impress or encourage any other to glorify it. The film sounds like an inspiration from small budget south Indian movies where pornography is imbibed in the miseries of the protagonist. The over-glamorized sleazy scenes, average to poor performances, forgettable music and weak direction speak for the ill fate of the film.

Aryan Vaid's journey from 'Market' to 'Mr. 100%-The Real Player' in filmdom has been mainly in sleazy sex flicks. Despite being spearheaded with heavy doses of skin shows and kissing scenes none of them has fared positively on box office. Aryan's performance is strictly ordinary with loads of sex scenes. Similarly, Payal Rohtagi's films have proved a damp squib, and their combination ('Fun-Can be dangerous sometimes' and Mr.100%-The Real Player') will disappoint too. Payal's presence in the film is mainly to heighten the glamour quotient with some lustful sex scenes. Mahima Chaudhry is wasted in a tiny role and it shows her downslide graph after thunderous start in 'Pardes'. She delivers decent performance and is fully covered (that surprises in sex film)! It may surprise everybody that actress like Mahima Chaudhary has accepted such a sleazy film. It seems that her career is down sliding like Manisha Koirala's who has compromised her failure with sleazy fests.

Comedian Narinder Bedi and Dinesh Hingoo's comical act fail to tickle funny bone. Irfan Khan's "gigolo" act shows his one of the biggest mistakes. Hopefully, he will not repeat in future. Film editor-turned-director Om Prakash Makker's debutante directorial is a losing preposition all the way. The film is targeted to entertain front benchers but the alien concept of "gigolos" would limit their presence. The film has neither gloss nor thrill to attract viewers and its poor collection will show regular rejection for skin flicks. In nutshell, 'Mr.100%-The Real Player' is 100% sleaze that falters completely. A poor show!
