Gautam Gupta, yet another newcomer, is very excited with his debut 'Go' produced by Ram Gopal Verma. So is excited Verma though two of his recent movies like 'RGV KI Aag' and 'Darling' fell flat at the box office. In spite of this Verma is going full steam for the promotion of his upcoming production. So much so that a promotional music video for the film has been shot and just recently premiered on the small screen. The promotional track 'So Cool' has been picturized on both Nisha Kothari and newcomer Gautam. While Nisha carries on with her kitten image, Gautam gets into a young-n-cool mode to suit the genre of the film. The actor has shown confidence in his acting ability during his address to the media in New Delhi.
Excerpts of the interview:
Are you confident about your debut's success?
The process of cinema has changed and I know that we can make 10 films like 'Go' for the price of one 'Saawariya'. I am new but confident that I will not go unnoticed. I have done my best. I know, when I will rise, my feet will be on the ground and this will help me in the long run.
Are you carrying the movie on your shoulders?

I am sure Ranbir (Kapoor) and Sonam (Kapoor) have a lot of burden on their shoulders, too. Since they are star kids and the film is on a bigger level, the expectations must be higher. There's enough place for everyone in the industry and every newcomer will undergo the same challenge I am going through.
Why did you undergo a struggle when your father runs studios?

I underwent a struggle like every other newcomer in the industry in spite of being the son of a financier. My father believes that one should learn from his own mistakes. My family was not keen on my taking up acting and hence they didn't give me a big launch. But once they saw the rushes, they helped me with studio work. Today, I am thankful to my parents for making me realize the worth of my struggle. I could learn the craft of filmmaking.
Hasn't Verma helped in your launch?
RGV made sure that I slogged. I have assisted him in 'Naach', 'Sarkar' and all his other films.
What's your experience with Verma?
He is one person who eats and breathes movies. I have been trained in filmmaking right from pre-production to post production.

The movie centers around two lovers - Abhay played by Gautam, and Vasu played by bubbly Nisha Kothari run away from home, little realizing that they will run into a whole bunch of colorful characters including: a rogue cop, a mean killer, a crafty conman and a chief minister who kills his own deputy.
What's the genre of the movie?
This is a complete entertainer .
