Rati Agnihotri has a pleasing presence. Anyone who comes close to her is touched by the happiness and beauty within. The gorgeous actress shot to fame in Bollywood by her super hit movie 'Ek Dooje Ke Liye' opposite Kamal Hassan, the well-known actor of South India. Rati was in New Delhi recently to pay tribute to Kishore Da on the latter's 19th death anniversary. The Smashits team caught this onetime top actress and chatted with her. The actress remembered Kishore Kumar for the latter's fun loving nature and treasure of his songs. She regrets that the actor-singer passed away prematurely, leaving his colleagues and fans, to live on his memoirs. Rati still remembers the late singer who used to keep his colleagues always happy and smiling.
Excerpts of her chat:
How will you describe Kishore Kumar?
There are not enough words to describe him. Amazing talent, he was an amazing human being. He was very witty and a big prankster. He was very naughty, an entertainer in all ways with his jokes. He is still very much part of our life.
Which was the most memorable moment your life spent with Kishore Kumar?
The most memorable moment I spent with him was when we went for a show. You can only guess the amount of fun we had. He was a big energy booster for all of us.
Will you tell us about your upcoming projects?

My next release would be 'Karma, Confessions and Holi'. It's an English film produced by Robert Drena De Niro's daughter Tina De Niro. It is based on Indians living abroad, how they blend with Americans, their lives over there. Besides, the movie deals with how we come together on Holi and other festivals.

Well, I am working on Diwali, though not for the whole day. I will be working till 5 in the evening and then we shall have pooja. Diwali is one of the most important festivals for our family; we follow all rituals. We have Luxmi pooja at home, friends come in, and we sit together and eat. We have open house kind of a thing with lots of flowers and lots of candles and a little bit of crackers too.
What are you shooting for on Diwali?
On Diwali, I am shooting for 'Kaajal', a new series that I have just started. They begged and asked me to work on that day. Though I told them that in 27 years of my career I have never worked on Diwali, but okay, at times you have to do. (This is usual in TV shows).
