Producer-director Sunil Darshan is going to present this Christmas the movie watchers a gift of his latest 'Dosti'. As usual in his movies like 'Raja Hindustani', 'Dhadkan', 'Andaaz' or even 'Barsaat', Sunil Darshan bases his movies on some relationship. His 'Dosti' also falls in the same series. This movie is completely based on friendships between the two pairs. Besides loving and playing tricks on each other, they love their girlfriends too.
Thus, they lead a nice life but without any expectation, involving any sacrifice on anyone's part. The movie is a multi starrer inasmuch there are two good friends like Akshay Kumar and Bobby Deol on one side and Kareena Kapoor and Lara Dutta on the other. Sunil claims that Akshay Kumar and Bobby Deol are as good friends in their real life as they are in his movie titled 'Dosti'. Juhi Chawla is also there but for a brief role.

Sunil Darshan is the one director-producer who treats his actors as friends and therefore never faces trouble from his cast in respect of dates etc. Music is his specialty. He sees that good music is provided to the lyrics in his movies as he considers music as a vital part. He has been in New Delhi recently for the promotion of his movie.

Though 'Dosti' is a universal subject, yet we want to present it differently.
Will you elaborate it?
Since times are undergoing a fast change, we have limited our theme of 'Dosti' to entertainment.
Why have you brought Akshay Kumar and Bobby Deol together?
I consider both of them as my USP. They are good star friends not only in reel life but also in their real life. Their chemistry in the movie may amaze you.
How do you attract youths towards your movies?
Cinema has become youth-oriented now. You cannot keep youths away from the glamour world.
How do you make friends with all artists?
I treat my actors as my friends. I don't behave with them like a teacher.
How do you sign actors? Do they demand script from you?
No, they do not demand any script from me before shooting. In fact, they give me dates without any fuss.

Music plays a great role in my movies. In 'Dosti', Nadeem-Shravan has beautifully rendered music to Sameer's lyrics. I am confident that my movie's music will entice the audience.
