BOLLYWOOD BANTER
By Eye TV India BureauMad on Vidya Balan way!
The 'dhak dhak' girl of Bollywood is raring to go the Vidya Balan way in 'Dedh Ishqiya', a sequel to 'Ishqiya'. Though mother of two, she is ready to go flamboyant on screen and without any inhibition. Wonder if her second innings would be more stunning than the previous one. Madhuri says that she is an artiste and therefore not shy to fulfill her character's demand. If the script of 'Dedh Ishqiya' needs something of that sort, she won't stay behind. Madhuri Nene reminded of the character of Krishna played by sexy Vidya Balan in 'Ishquia', the earlier avatar of 'Dedh Ishquia'. You may recall that Vidya had enacted several very intimate scenes with actor arshad Warsi in the movie. Will Mad be able to follow in her footsteps is yet to be seen.
Sooraj denies rumor
Yes, Rajshri Productions is known for producing TV shows depicting the good mixture of traditional as well as modern values. So, a section of the media reported that director Sooraj Barjatya is planning a movie with Salman Khan playing the elder brother's role. In Sooraj Barjatya's blockbuster 'Hum Aapke Kaun Hain', Salman had acted as younger brother opposite Madhuri Dixit. Sooraj denies all these reports and clarifies that he is yet to write the script for Salman in mind. At the same time, he admits that his forthcoming movie will indeed be based on the traditional values enshrined in their production house. Sooraj denies that Salman will play Bade Bhaiya (played by Monish Behl in'HAKH') and Arjun Kapoor as younger brother.
Kohli denies link with 'Mausam'
Kunal Kohli has rubbished all media reports that his next film will be similar to Shahid Kapoor's previous 'Mausam'. Ever since the first look of the Shahid Kapur-Priyanka Chopra starrer 'Teri Meri Kahaani' was out , there has been buzz that this Kunal Kohli film bears resemblance to Shahid's 'Mausam'. Yes, he admits that that the plot of a love story spanning time seemed to be common to both films. And, the evolution of characters of Shahid and Priyanka Chopra in 'Teri Meri Kahaani' reflected that of Shahid and Sonam Kapoor in 'Mausam'. Incidentally, the male lead in both films was common too, but that doesn't mean that their stories will also resemble. There ends the commonality. Kohli also pleads that 'Mausam' was made by Pankaj Kapur while he is making 'Teri Meri Kahaani'.
'Joker' sold for nothing!
It's strange that actor Akshay Kumar whose two movies - Housefull 2' and 'Rowdy Rathore' - recently entered into Rs 100-crore club at the box office , has sold his next 'Joker' to UTV for a song. 'Joker' is stated to have fetched Rs. 40 crore only, and that too for all rights - theatrical, satellite, home video, overseas etcetera.
