India celebrates Kartik Purnima

Allahabad/Varanasi/Haridwar/Bhubaneswar, Nov 28 (ANI): Devout Hindus across India took holy dip and offered prayers in the sacred rivers on the occasion of Kartik Purnima today. Large number of devotees converged on the banks of Sangam, to take holy dip in Allahabad. A priest, Bholanath Mishra said that Kartik Purnima marks the birthday of Matsya, Lord Vishnu's fish incarnation.
