July 6, 2012
New Delhi, July 06 (ANI): The United Nations Conference on Trade and Development or UNCTAD’s World Investment Report for 2012 named India as the third most desirable destination for foreign direct investment (FDI) by global industrial giants. Addressing mediapersons after unveiling the report in New Delhi, United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UNESCAP) chief economist, Nagesh Kumar said that the survey conducted in 179 countries ranked India behind China and United States. The Indian economy, which grew at its slowest pace in nine years, has been badly hit by political roadblocks to economic policymaking battering corporate investor sentiment.
