Tanisha, the heroine of Yash Chopra banner's 'Neal 'N' Nikki', has denied all the criticism leveled against her. She wonders how the industry could dare not recognize her and 'know' her as Kajol's sister only when she had already acted in three movies. In fact, the viewers took notice of her in Nitin Manmohan's horror movie 'Shshsh….'. Not only that, she also acted in 'Tango Charlie', and in the recent past in Ram Gopal Verma's 'Sarkar' even though briefly. Now, of course, she has made a place for herself by playing Nikita Bakshi opposite Uday Chopra (Neal) in 'Neal 'N' Nikki'.
Again, she is under fire for taking shelter under the umbrella of exposure in this movie. But she denies all this. She expressed her resentment at the India International Trade Fair's Coca-Cola presentation of the 'Neal 'N' Nikki's "Get Naughty" duo held in New Delhi last week. When asked about it she got angry and quipped, "What have I done as to provoke you to ask such a question? I look glamorous and not vulgar in 'Neal 'N' Nikki'. I have done what a bindaas girl in Canada would do. Neither have I crossed the Lakshman-Rekha (line of demarcation)." She reminded her critics that she had always drawn inspiration from her elder sister Kajol in such matters, and added, "Kajol has proved that an actress can succeed even without exposure."
