LA ANTHEM: BOLLYWOOD CHACHA BAN GAYA HOLLYWOOD GENTLEMAN

New Delhi, Nov.22: Bollywood's taking the show to Hollywood. A Hindi masala film will be premiered abroad for the first time ever next month.

Shekar Kapur , Manoj Night Shyamalan and now Ajay Devgan and Kajol. Bollywood's best-looking couple have big plans in store with Raju Chacha - Hindi cinema's biggest budget movie, live chats as promos and a first-ever world premiere in Los Angeles.

The world premiere, scheduled for December 28 at the Samuel Goldwyn Theatre, promises to be a gala event with the stars of the film and tennis star Vijay Amritraj already on the guest list.

Proceeds from the premiere will go to the Indian-American Cultural and Educational Foundation, a non-profit organization that awards scholarships to young Indians across the US. SmasHits.com, the official sponsors of the event, will also feature interviews and live chats with the stars of Raju Chacha. "I am very excited to showcase Raju Chacha in Los Angeles," said Mr. Abhesh Verma, chief executive officer of SmasHits.com. "What better place to hold a premiere than Hollywood, the original home of showbiz."

The story of three orphans, living a fairytale life till their father (Rishi Kapoor) is alive, the Raju Chacha soundtrack is already a regular feature on most of the music channels.

Left in the care of a governess (Kajol), the children are harrassed by their uncles for property and find a saviour in Ajay Devgan who is out to woo his lady love. With all the bollywood masala movie trappings, Raju Chacha promises the usual fare of entertainment with all elements of melodrama.
