Success Party Of The play Perfect Husband at Krishna Tamang?s Chinagate at Atria Mall, Worli, Mumbai.
Barely a month after it is launched, Krishna Tamang?s Chinagate at Atria Mall, Worli was flooded with celebs yet again. This time it was the essentially Indian Yatri team?s celebration at the Krishna Tamang restaurant known for its authentic Chinese cuisine.
With over 40 productions and 23 festivals to its credit, Yatri turned 25. At the same time, the latest Yatri Production, The Perfect Husband boasted of completing 50 performances, the world over. And what could be a more momentous occasion than that!
A meal for the Perfect Husband was created with the Peking Duck, The Hotpot Soup and Dimsums and other authentic mouthwatering fare. The celebs relished the cuisine while savoring the moments of togetherness.
Liliput, Rekha Sahay, the oldest members of Yatri shared stage with Poonam Dhillon and Sooraj Thapar, the lead actors of The Perfect Husband, director Nitin Jagdish, actors like Pratibha Pai, Noorajahan, Ashutosh Sinha, Roma Thapar, Hemal Dharia among others. Celebs of the likes of Padmini Kolhapure, Talat Aziz, Hrishikesh Pai, Reshma Pai, Navin Bawa, and others took part in the celebrations.
Says Rekha Sahay, ?it was a moment that started with five people and one passion. And when we saw where we reached, we felt it was a reason to celebrate. As we moved on, people joined us on this journey, and it the people who make Yatri.?
Sooraj Thapar who plays The Perfect Husband was touched by the celebrations, and felt ?honored, and expressed, ?it is a great honor to be a part of the golden jubilee celebrations of The Perfect Husband and the silver jubilee celebrations of Yatri. We feel so great coming together here:?
Actress Poonam Dhillon feels that acting is serious business, and at the same time The Perfect Husband journey was full of laughs. ?This play has given me immense satisfaction as an actor. It made me discover a facet of myself, my ability to do comedy and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I was lucky to have Yatri as the first group to work with. Each actor was not just sincere and dedicated, but also fun-loving and full of laughs.?
Director Nitin Jagdish is modest when he states on the golden jubilee of the play that ?this is just the beginning.?
