Born on September 21, 1980, Kareena Kapoor is counted among the top most actors in the Hindi film industry today. Bebo, as she is fondly called, made her acting debut with ‘Refugee’ in 2000, for which she won a Filmfare Award for the Best Female Debut. In 2001, she received her first commercial success with her second release, ‘Mujhe Kuch Kehna Hai’. Kareena later appeared in Karan Johar's magnum opus ‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham’, which became India's top-grossing film in the overseas market that year. Her portrayal of a sex worker in ‘Chameli’ proved to be the turning point in her career and garnered her Filmfare Special Performance Award. She later received two Critics Awards for the Best Actress at the Filmfare ceremony for her performances in the critically acclaimed ‘Dev’ in 2004 and ‘Omkara’ in 2006. However, in 2008, she was successful in getting the Filmfare Award for Best Actress for her performance in the super hit flick, ‘Jab We Met’. ‘Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu’ is another success to her credit after blockbuster movies like ‘3 Idiots’, ‘Golmaal 3’, ‘Bodyguard’, ‘Ra One’ and ‘Agent Vinod’. Recently, Kareena Kapoor launched a new campaign of a laptop brand that she endorses. On the occasion, Bebo got candid.
