After slashing three minutes and 10 seconds of “unsuitable” content, ‘The Dirty Picture’ is now set to hit the television screens. In April, the I & B ministry had directed that the dark biopic for which Vidya Balan bagged the best actress award, on the tumultuous life of South siren Silk Smitha, be telecast only in a late night slot after 11 pm. According to reports, the latest deletion is in addition to the 59 cuts made earlier, so the film could be eligible for the CBFC’s U/A rating.
